Using a Vocoder Effect in Orion

The vocoder must operate stereo, left channel carrier, right channel modulator (or vice versa). Most DX or VST vocoders should be able to this.

Assign the vocoder effect to FX Send 1. Locate the 2 channels you want to use for vocoding (note: it doesn't matter whether they are mono or stereo). Right-click the FX Send knob on both channels, and uncheck "link to channel volume" on each. Now de-pan the 2 channels, one to the left and the other to the right-that's it! To hear the effect, don't forget to turn up FX Send 1 volume on both channels - and lower channel volume of both channels to 0 to nuke the dry signal of those channels.

Very helpfull. Thank you very much. I thought that my vocoder plug in was inoperative. Thanks to you I will have some vocoder voices in my next song ;o)
